The Symposium meetings and the accommodation of the participants will be held at Anemon Afyon SPA Hotel.

Place and Date of the Symposium

The symposium will be held on 23-25 September 2010 at Afyonkarahisar – distance from Ankara 250 km.

Provisional Programme

The program is planned for three days. The Symposium, consisting of five sessions, will be held on the first two days. The third day will be allocated to a cultural tour.

Following the opening speeches, Session 1 will include presentations on the main themes of the symposium by three keynote speakers. Session 2 will consist of two parts, with presentations by invited speakers and opportunities for Questions &Answers. Session 3 will take the form of two simultaneous moderated Roundtables. Session 4 will assess the main results that are obtained in the symposium. In addition, steps will be discussed to set up a continuous communication network amongst the parliaments of the PUIC member countries at the last session. The proceedings of the symposium will be concluded by closing speeches.

Volunteers are encouraged to be the moderating country, keeping in contact with the other participating countries and organising the next meeting.

Languages

The official languages of the symposium will be Turkish, Arabic, English and French. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
